Half Overlay

This type of overlay occurs when two doors share a single wall of a cabinet box, leaving a little gap of the box exposed, so the cabinet frame is “halfway overlaid.”

Half overlay is a variation of partial overlay, where the door placement leaves the cabinet frame exposed. However, this is specific to when two doors share the same wall, opening and closing in different orientations because the frame is exposed when the door is closed but disappears when the door is open.
